'Carrying home the shopping, she stops to rest and to admire the mellow grey stone buildings, the rolling hills of the unchanging Cotswold scene. Her dress, artfully artless, was designed by Hartnell in soft wool the colour of ripe corn, fastened with gilt buttons, belted with brown leather. The capacious basket was made at the Lord Roberts Memorial Workshops.'
