Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams

Coming, London, 1964

Celebrating the 70th aniversary of Maison Dior, the Museum of Decoratives Arts presents Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams. Curated by Florence Müller, the exhibtion explores the work of the individual creative directors who followed Christian Dior himself: Marc Bohan, Yves Saint Laurent, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and the current director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Norman Parkinson, who captured some of Dior's greatest creations from the late 1940s until his death in 1990, is represented by Coming, London. Taken in an alleyway off St Martin's Lane in 1964, the photograph portraits Nena Von Schlebrugge in Yves Saint Laurent's first collection for Dior.
